Faces of the 2008 Snake Gully Cup Carnival : Jared & Claire Tallent
Jared Tallent strode into Australia's Olympic history books in Beijing when he became the first Australian in 36 years to win multiple athletics medals at the same Olympics.
Jared won silver in the 50km walk and a bronze medal in the 20km walk.
Fellow Olympic walker Claire Woods finished with a new personal best in the women's 20km walk. Following these amazing performances in Beijing, Jared and Clare were married on returning home to Australia. They will both be in Gundagai as guests for the Snake Gully Cup Carnival and the Sportsman's Dinner.
The Gundagai-Adelong Racing Club is proud to have Jared and Claire as The Faces of the 2008 Snake Gully Cup Carnival.
